Sichuanese Cuisine

Beats any Sichuan Restuarant in Seattle

There are several great Sichuan Restaurants in Seattle. An example is the Sichuan Bistro in Greenwood. I live just across the highway in Maple Leaf, but my friends and I find oursevles driving 20 minutes away just to eat at Sichuan Cuisine.

Very good dishes, it’s one of those places where you’re full but still find yourself filling your rice bowl again and again.

Good choices: Gong bao ji (Kung pao chicken), most of their noodle dishes

Do not order: Jiaozi (dumplings): their dumplings were very dissapointing based on how awesome thier other dishes were.

Extras:
I came here for
fun with friends
My meal cost
between $10 and $25
I tipped
more than 18%

Chen's Village

May 11, 2008 Link

Average American Chinese Food

My friends and I are really big into exploring restaurants, so when a client of my good friend Leo suggest us trying Chen’s Village because it was the “best Chinese food [he’s] ever had” we were estatic about trying it.

We were very dissapointed to find out it was more “Americanized” than “Authentic.” We ordered three dishes Kung Pao Chicken, Special Pan Friend Noodles, Steamed Dumplings and Eggplant in garlic sauce.

Steamed Dumplings—>Way too doughy, I’ve had better frozen types sad to say, don’t order this.

Kung Pao Chicken—> I usually don’t order this at all unless it’s authentic, (Gong bao ji) but thier version was not bad.

Special Pan Fried Noodles with Beef—>beef was pretty tasty noodles so so.

Eggplan with Garlic Sauce—> Fairly decent.
