Great place...reminds me of a NYC bistro
We loved our meal at the new Sagra Bistro. Not sure about the comments below regarding salt, taste and presentation. The portions are consistant with the pricing. $21 for a Filet Mignon is a good price. Most steak houses charge in the high $20’s or more and provide nothing more than a piece of meat on the plate. I had the eggplant parm, it was fabulous. I am not a fan of the pizza place version of breaded and fried slabs of eggplant. I could really taste the eggplant and the mozzarella was creamy. I was told they make it in house. My partner ordered the Scallops and was very happy too. The Manchego pocket appetizer was tasty as were the French Fries…I loved the blue cheese butter.
Their wine list offers a variety all by the glass and bottle. How many us have found our choice on the menu but could only purchase by the bottle! Prices are fair…alcohol is not cheap. I was curious about the stemless glasses and was told they were in fact Riedel crystal. For those of you who know wine will appreciate a good glass.
The decor is cute, I agree with the chairs comment below but if you visited their website they are for sale. I did notice chairs by the window looking more bistro’ ish.
We did not leave bloated or needed taking home an extra meal we will never eat. Hey Gordon Ramsey slams all the restaurants on his show that give away too much food.
If you are a savy diner, hip and trendy, or love good food then you will love this bistro. If you are stuck in the 70’s, looking for huge portions cheap, or need to roll off the table they stay away. Its not your kind of place.
While your there visit the chef or talk to his wife. They are typically on site every night.
Dishes I tried:
Eggplant Parmesan
Eggplant had lots of flavor bubbling with stringy cheese. Loved it
Sugar Roasted Diver Scallops
Large scallops served over caramelized onions. The onions were sweet and the scallops tasty and filling.

Its a steakhouse
Added Emeril’s to our list of places to visit. The food was good but it’s expensive. Great to see the place was filled with customers. Looks like the economy is doing ok.
We had a sangria at the bar which was very good! Loved the infused simple syrup. At $10 its worth a try.
I had the Petite fliet and my partner had the hangar steak. Filet was good the hangar steak was just ok. We both loved the lyonnaise potatoes! Great flavor.
For dessert we had the Cookies and Milk. The cookies were very good and warm.
Service was excellent and attentive.
If you love steak then its worth giving the restaurant a try but could not afford to eat there often unless I hit on the slot before dinner.
Dishes I tried:
Petite Filet
The steak was cooked perfectly enjoyed the side dishes more. If we go back would try the pork chop of chicken

Great Gucamole and Margarita's
Stopped by for a drink and something to eat a few days ago and were very happy with the food and service. The Guc had flavor and made from avocados not from the bag. Also tried the Caesar salad (its a salad) and the whtie bean chili. It had lots of flavor…maybe a bit salty but I like tasting food and not plain dishes. The service was excellent.
Seems like some of the reviewers are a bit harsh on this place. It may be a bit expensive but so is Friday’s and look what you get.
Go on a nice day, eat outside and chill
Dishes I tried:
Guacamole
Had 2 orders!

06/22/2009Sangria infused with simple syrup? Essentially two parts sugar diluted with one part water. Infused? A five dollar restaurant word for “added” So essentially, no actually, you had sugared up and diluted Sangria….and you paid how much for that?
