I <3 Kyoto

Kyoto’s been on I45 near the woodlands for the last 10 years, at least, and is a great sushi place. They have bento boxes, which is rare round here, and lots of options, as well as two meeting rooms that seat 8 each—very pretty. The sushi was a little dry though, idk maybe came at the wrong time last time. Very small, laid back, nice atmosphere. Well lit. Lots of menu choice.

Dishes I tried:

Bento Box with Yankisoba Noodles and Sushi

It was great; sushi a bit dry; lots of extras. I split it with my guest.

Buffet-style opulence

Sweet Tomatoes is a classic buffet-style eatery located next to The Woodlands Mall. It has great home-baked food like pizza breads, cornbread, pastas cooked in front of the customer, and multiple fantastic soups. Very American cuisine. Also has an extensive vegetarian/salad buffet and a fruit buffet. The ice cream machine is a favourite with the kids; mix-ins included! Great for the whole family. Seniors get discount.

Don’t miss: Strawberry lemonade
Let down: A few options are ‘extras’ you pay extra for—like chicken to add to your salad and drinks (like the one above ; )
Restroom rating: *
Atmosphere: Clean American diner; large area with ++ buffets and a few free-standing tables. Well-lit.

Best pizza in The Woodlands

Best-tasting pizza in town. I love the thicker crusts, though they have thin crust pizza too. Lots of options, and the stromboli is to die for.

Don’t miss: Lunch/Sunday buffets
Let down: You pay for the quality! Also, big televisions are hard to ignore when dining in.
Restroom rating: **** (small)
Atmosphere: medium lighting; hip, retro, college-kid feel

Great cuisine for good price

This place has excellent food, unique tastes, and really reasonable prices. There’s regular dinner options as well as specialty salads, soups, subs, and other options. There’s a coffee/gelato bar as well that is fantastic! All around great food. This is one of my fave restaurants in the woodlands—high class food for —$.

Don’t miss: The authentic Italian gelato bar!
Let down: Won’t do reservations; really cold >_<

Atmosphere: Beautiful hanging glass fixtures decorate one lounging area; there’s regular seating and also couches and other areas; you can eat outside. Dim lighting as well as well-lit inside; depends where you sit. TVs are not too much of a problem. Probably not a place to bring the kids, though, if they’re picky eaters; you won’t find chicken strips on the menu (actually…haven’t checked but not the type of place; there’s an older/adult crowd). But they’d like the ice cream!

Dishes I tried:

Crab cakes and pork loins

Crab cakes with a wonderful sauce. Too much on the plate to eat at once! Really unique flavors all mixed. Came with asparagus. Would and have ordered this multiple times!!

*Best resturant* and sushi place in The Woodlands

This small restaurant is tucked in the middle of a shopping strip. It is hands down the best sushi place in The Woodlands. Atmosphere is great; formal, with dim lighting, as well as a sushi bar with TV if that’s what you’re into. The sushi is perfect. Green tea ice cream is also good~ There’s two hibatchi tables. This restaurant is intimate and it has it all.
