Spendy but Nice Ambiance
A bit spendy but it was a nice ambiance. Went with a group of 10. Our bill was over $700! Yikes! Wine list was extensive but almost everything on it was over $50 a bottle. They had really tasty drink specials- pomogranite margaritas. The food was OK. The restaurant was beautiful. We had starters of calamari and proscetto. The calamari was really good. I had the spaghetti Bolangese for meal. It was good but not $15 good.
Dishes I tried:
Spaghettie Bolangese

Happy Hour at Manhattan's
Went Friday for Happy Hour at Manhattan’s it was great! Happy Hour runs from 4-7.
The bar area is really cool with awesome chandalier’s. We watched the baseball game and had a few $3 well drinks.
The bar menu is the thing about this place. Try the Beef Dip it’s big enough for two and made with beef shortribs. You can also order from the restaurant menu in the bar. We had the scallops pricey but delicious.
During our visit on Friday we also found out they are no longer doing Sunday Brunch. Maybe after they get better established they’ll bring back brunch.
Dishes I tried:
Beef Dip
Very yummy very big good value for money
Scallops
Out of this world but pricey

Brunch at Memphis
Went to Brunch on Sunday it was lovely. They have unlimited Mimosa’s for $8.95. I had a bloody mary very good. Someone in our party had the Orange Julius and loved it. Tasted like a 50/50 bar.
We sat out on the patio. It was a beautiful day in downtown Santa Ana. The food was good. Nice portion good price point. Service was good but could be improved.
Will be going back for brunch again.
Dishes I tried:
Memphis Two Egg Breakfast
Eggs were perfectly cooked to order. The Toast tasted homemade. The breakfast potatoes were out of this world.
Spinach & Shrimp Trittata
Very good!
Orange Julius
Yummy!

Pass on the Crow Bar
We go out every Sunday. This restaurant was rated the best new restaurant by OC Weekly so we decided to check it out. Won’t go again. Very nice decor and nice location. Even though it was not very busy the service was slow. After we sat down it took 15 minutes to get a drink. When the drinks came they were not very good. I ordered a bloody Mary. It was ghastly! The hobgoblin beer was flat. Went down the street for a proper bloody mary at the five crowns after our meal.
Dishes I tried:
classic burger
Typical burger nothing to rave about but the sweet potato fries were lovely!
Irish Nachos
Nice presentation but soggy potatos too much tomato sauce on top
Bloody Mary
Ghastly! It is made with chili infused vodka and arrives in a pint glass. Very spicey! There were large bits of horseradish in the glass along with a large pickled asparagus and green bean. I love bloody marys but this was not my style

12/10/2006It really is the best. I’m glad they have such a bland exterior, it keeps the crowds going to those flashier restaurants nearby :)
