Simply transcendent. The food is unmatched by any Thai restaurant I’ve ever experienced. It’s well worth the trek and the wait. And if you can, dine outside in their new back garden area.

This is an East Village staple; a brunch time and late night institution. The blintzes and pierogies are not to be missed. Sadly, the service is often hit or miss, so be prepared to be disappointed from time to time.

This Turkish smorgasbord offers a wide variety of tasty Middle Eastern dishes, mainly by the pound. The chef constantly rotates the menu so there’s always something new to try. Beyond the roasted meats, the lentil soup and cold vegetarian dishes always seem to hit the spot at any time of the day or night. I go here so often, the staff often ask me where I’ve been if I don’t make an appearance after several days.

The dumplings here are always tasty, and the novel dipping sauces add non-traditional flare. Prices are a little high compared to its counterparts in Chinatown, but I guess the profits go towards actually paying their workers and keeping the place clean.

If you love good hummus. Go here, cause that’s basically all they serve. I also think they should bottle their hot sauce — it’s some sort of lovely green chili, cinnamon, and garlic combination that I have yet to find anywhere else.
