It should have been obvious when I walked in at 6:30 on a Thursday evening and was the only one there what I was in for. The lady behind the counter was on the phone and was not concerned at all that I was there. I had to wait for someone from the kitchen to come out and seat me. And it was hot in there… it must have been 90 degrees. She told me they had just turned on the A/C. As for the food, I took the advice of a Creative Loafing review I had read and ordered the Shrimp Ma-La which was described as “supple jumbo shrimp in a brilliantly spicy sauce with large crisp vegetables”. HA! What a waste of shrimp. The sauce was bland, really bland, with just a hint of sesame oil. The vegetables consisted of bell pepper, lots and lots of bell pepper with a few carrots and mushrooms. Stay away. There or too many good Asian restaurants in this city to waste your time and money here!
