Muy Delicioso!!!!
I was hungry and tired, the day had been LONG. So, my husband and I said “let’s try the place around the block by Mervyn’s”…what a great idea that was.
The have THE BEST shrimp enchiladas on the planet, not only are those amazing, but their albondigas soup, is a story of itself. The meatballs are big and flavorful, the vegies fresh, the broth well seasoned with the right spiciness but NOT hot.
Fresh salsa…authentic and a bit of a kick. mmmmmmmmmmmm
To top it off, their cocktails…very well made and the house liquor is good quality, the available brands are GOOD not cheap. They don’t skimp on the tequila in your margarita’s!!
Now…about the service…Warm, friendly and efficient. After a couple of visits we were treated like friends. Really a great little place.
The prices…very fair. Dinner for two with a drink …under $40.

Burrell's Rocks!
I have eaten there for more than 20 years. It’s consistant, the Dirty Rice is authentic, Sweet Potato Pie to die for AND the BBQ it’s the REAL DEAL! No phoney baloney excuse for sauce or bland sweetness. Burrell’s is the only real bbq in OC. AND it’s wallet friendly!!!
