Mikasa Sushi

Presentation is not that important
First thing I would like to say about this restaurant is that it’s a bit over priced. But the presentation of the dishes is really amazing, alot of attention to details.
The menu it self is pretty standard, a little surprises here and there. Sweet maki’s (sushi rolls) with honey or fruits can be found here… The place looks really nice too, but makes you wonder if you pay for the furniture more then for the food you get.
I would recommanded it for special occasions, but for real sushi fans there are better places.

Nice inovation, but overall average
No to be difficult or anything, but this sushi place disapointed me for 2 things. First the fish is not that fresh and sometimes tastes a bit over frozen (taste like fridge you know). Second if that there is little in the menu for fans of traditional Japanese meals.
But on the bright side, the chef is often creating new makis (shushi rolls) that are really unexpected.

Sushi Yasu

Japanese tradition
Best sushi in town. Might be cliché, but in this case it is thru. I am a regular at this place, and it is true, I cannot eat sushi anywhere else and be satisfied now that I have found this great spot.
Staff is great, fish is as fresh has it get’s. The sushi rice is really well prepared, never to wet or too dry. They offer a great selection of Asian imported beer’s and Sake.
The menu also offer’s great Japanese specialities other then sushi’s; Edamame (boiled and salted pods of soybeans), Tako Sunomono (a octopus salad, not spicy)… Specials of the weeks on the board are always worth a try, you will find gems not in the usuall menu, like “Deep Fried Kaki” (oysters)…
I would recommend it to anyone.-
Beef Sashimi
It’s an appetizer. Raw beef only cooked for a couple of second on each side. The beef is then sliced really thin. The slices are layed out in a plate and served with a ponzo sauce. Meat was excelent, very good grade…
