The service was incredibly slow the night I was there, and the dining room had a feeling very much like being in a lower-class golf clubhouse, but the food was some of the better Chinese food that I’ve had.

I deeply enjoy how the teppenyaki chefs have sass, and if you’re being obnoxious, they WILL let you know. I think it adds to the experience, which is the most important aspect of teppenyaki, and the food – while very tame and traditional – is worth a nod, too. Excellent.

This place has been written up for violating major health codes SO many times. When I ate there several years ago, things tasted fine… until I saw the bucket of bloody raw chicken sitting unchilled under the buffet table. If they get their act together, I think they’ll be much better off.

This might be the sketchiest five diner at which I’ve ever eaten. The pancakes aren’t too terrible -- if you can taste them through the cigarette smoke -- but overall, it’s not a great experience.

Super sketchy… but the Sweet & Sour Chicken is quite good.

This restaurant had the worst service that I have ever encountered, but the sushi was quite good. The unagi was a little chewier than I like and a majority of the maki rolls were listed as incorporating “hot sauce,” but the majority of the maki menu was creative and all of the rolls that I tried were distinctive. The service is really all that warrants such a low rating.

The food was good and the service was friendly and prompt. The enchiladas were very bland, but I’m also not a huge enchilada fan—the stuffed chicken breast medallions with chorizo and cheese were phenomenal, and the tequila custard on the “Margarita pie” was a nice (and creative) touch. I don’t think that the cuisine or the decor warrants a full-black-ensemble full-tray-service staff, but I applaud their choices in terms of the attitude the restaurant encourages in its patrons.

The pressed paninis left little to be desired, but the butternut squash soup needed some “oomph.” The service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant was packed, and the attached gourmet shop was darling and full of great finds.

Much better than BD’s Mongolian Barbecue and a great, fun atmosphere. The Pomegranate Lemonade is to die for, but the service was increddddibly slow and uneducated about the menu.

VERY expensive and not worth the cash. The food is well-designed but poorly executed, as though the cooks are lacking in the kind of training necessary to make many of the advertised foods. Slow service and unfriendly servers.
