"Time to Eat"!

It’s tiny and tucked away in between some random stores on the long stretch known and Santa Monica Blvd., but if you find Cafe 50’s, stop in for a bite and you won’t regret it.

With a real soda fountain and a magician who entertains the customers on Saturday mornings, Cafe 50’s is more than just good food.

There are lots of choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. You can get breakfast any time of day and choose from a list of over 30 different shakes. The owner is personable and often there working right along with the waitresses/ waiters.

Just go try it…you can thank me later.

Sounds pretty gross…but they’re actually pretty amazing!! Little triangles of mac and cheese with a crispy fried outside. Served warm so the cheese and gooey and they come with ranch to dip them in.

You can’t eat too many because they’re pretty heavy, so share an order with a friend. Mmmmm.

Cream Puff Pros

At Beard Papa they serve one (main) thing…cream puffs. The good thing about going to a store that sells one thing is that whatever they sell is usually pretty good. Such is the case with Beard Papa.

Their cream puffs are about the size of softballs….just a little less round. But they are delicious. Puffy and creamy. ha. You can get them filled with different kinds of cream (vanilla, chocolate, or green tea, etc.). They make them right in the store so they are fresh when you order.

Obviously this isn’t a place you go toooo often, but is you have a craving for a really good cream puff…or are just looking for a treat on a lazy sunday afternoon, find a store and enjoy!!
