Akita Sushi & Hibachi

Jul 29, 2008 Link

Still wonderful!

I have been to Akita Sushi on many occasions and have not been dissappointed as of yet.

The food is always great and the service outstanding! I’m sure at some point I will have a day there that is not so wonderful. But I have found that at any place I have dinned after dinning there enough times. We all have bad days and good days.

You people really should get a life and stop whining!

Oh, the person that began their review with " Not worth the trip " You probally were " not worth the trouble "

The complainers, complain to everyone. The happy people say little it seems…..

Akita Sushi & Hibachi

fantastic!

I just finished dinning at Akita and experienced none of the complaints I see written here. I found the food excellent, we were served water immediately, and the menu was explained to us thoroughly. So to me it seems your complaints would be in the neighborhood of sabotage. I did In fact find the manager to be quite polite and caring. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with everything. To describe him in one word I would use " genuine " I asked him if there was a difficulties when first opening ( as there usually are with a new restaurant ) Without being too revealing, he said they encountered an overwhelmingly large amount difficulties at the beginning. I’m reminded of the age old saying " first a baby learns to crawl, then it walks slowly, then finally it runs.

On a side note- I have traveled the world over including 3rd world countries. One thing I have noticed about Americans in general is that they are ungrateful, unforgiving, and unsatisfying. I remember the scene when people were finally rescued from Hurricane Katrina. Instead of jumping for joy, they were angry and screaming obscenities to their rescuers. In fact I recall one rescue helicopter was shot at. Most countries I have been to in a similar situation would have been so very grateful for the help. But we Americans think the world owes us everything, and we expect it on a silver platter. I will never forget my childhood days, I can recall coming home and was told many times there was nothing for dinner. Maybe we should be thankful we live in such a country to have fine dinning, and have a little more patience, and respect. Instead of the attitude " here is my credit card, give me what I want, and it damn well better be just the way I want it!

I find the negative comments here full of venom and quite destructive. It would seem you don’t know where to go with your deep seeded anger, so you direct it at whoever and whatever you can. I really don’t think a perfect restaurant would make you happy. Your simply not happy with life in general.
