This restaurant is a mid weeker. A good afterwork crowd crams into the bar which serves fabulous martinis. The cucumber passion and asian pear are excellent. The food is good but a little hit and miss with the ordering. You must try the lobster rolls. I fould the staff very helpful in selecting the right dishes.

Come hungry, leave drunk… The BEST pomme frites in the city. I swear this is THE place to meet interesting people (some are actually American) and eat simple bistro style food after a long evening of drinking before you realize at 1am “did anybody eat yet?”.. This place is a lot of fun and a short walk to PM or 5 minute cab ride to Cain.

if you are English and living in NY and DON’T want to spend the night meeting brits then avoid this place. The restaurant is well appointed and has some spectular fusion dishes. You’ll eat well for sure. Worth popping into the Gaansvort accross the street if you’re in the area.

A little hard to find but worth the effort. Its super romantic. has an entirely different atmosphere in different seasons as they pull back the colonial style shutters to reveal the lake. I liked this place but was surprised to see it empty out by 10pm. Don’t expect a buzzy downtown crowd, do expect a romantic meal. PS: several people proposed on the few occasions i visited to be careful to set expectations properly before you arrive.

This is one of the best Sunday Brunch places i have found. perched up against the back of NYs public library between 40th and 42nd and 5th, i recommend the eggs benedict for sure. Really good bloody marys and the view in the summer is wonderful. Pretty good for walk ins if you have forgotten to book something.

you know the drill. A place mat that is green on one side (this means bring me MEAT!) and red on the other which means (damn me for filling up on the bread and salad bar). There is a technique here. Even the meat comes out by excalating value, first the sausages and chops and eventually the filet and prime rib. This is a meat lovers paradise but you must not eat for approximately 3 days before hand to get value for money. watch out for the meat sweats.

i really wanted to like this place. i want to tell people i like this place.. that would be cool but I just couldnt bare the endless en vogueness of it all. Large prada glasses with silicon wrapped in chanel. It was Euro trash central. I think the $20 tuna melt was the final straw. Oh and i am sure the waiters were basically ex D&G models. I recommending if you are passing to continue walking..

first we walked, then we dragged women from the caves and made sweet love, then we discovered fire, THEN we visited Del Frisco. OK, this is basically where Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley bankers go to eat large plates of burnt flesh and talk about the good old days and how they just never left! These are truly exceptional steaks and i must say as a homosapien i was impressed with the portions of these mamoth steaks. Don’t order more than one side to share oh and if you are on a high protein diet do not order the creamy spinach.

If you like rice pudding then you must visit this place. Exceptionally creamy with more flavors than ben and jerrys. Rocky road, peanut butter crunch, butterscotch.. I could actually hear myself get fatter as i wolfed down who hearty scoops of this delicious pudding.. Do not go more than 4 times a year if you value unclogged arteries.
