Great View, So-so dining
First of all this restaurant sits right on the marina so it is has great views of the water and you can watch the boats coming in and going out. Even the tables in the back of the dining area are raised so anywhere you sit has a view. However the place hasn’t been updated since the eighties (brass and etched glass with mauves and blues) and it could use a good update or at least a good cleaning. Lots of stained upholstery and carpeting. There is also quite a fishy odor upon entering the restaurant. Not rotten just strong. The wait staff isn’t very attentive. We had to ask for beverage refills, more sauce, the bill…
Anyway having said that, the food wasn’t bad. Maybe a little pricey for the protein portions but they try to make it up with the fries.
The menu has a variety of choices including seafood, steaks, sandwiches, and salads.
Dishes Tried:
Halibut and Chips
The halibut was moist and the batter light and crispy. I opted for three pieces instead of two for a couple of bucks more. Good thing because each piece was only about 1.5 to 2 ounces in size. It also had a large portion of fries. Just your typical frozen variety but they were crispy which is how I like them.
