Do you like Egg Rolls? Get the Best in Town!!!!

I love egg rolls but had given up on them because even some of the best Chinese restaurants have gone to frozen. I found this place while I was on my way home and waiting for traffic to clear at the corner of I10 and Barker Cypress. What a surprise. They hand roll these egg rolls from scratch everyday as they were taught by the owner’s grandmother who came in an trained them. They are so good. I mean these eggrolls have MEAT and lots of it : Whether you like chicken or BEEF you will love these. But have you ever had Cherry Egg roll? They are worth the drive. A hand rolled cherry eggroll dusted with powdered sugar; Just perfect for dessert. The apple is also very nice but I love the cherry. I like to pick up a box of these and bring them home for dinner. My wife loves that. Since she doesn’t have to cook and the egg rolls are sooo good, she always rewards me for my thoughtfulness. Here is your big chance guys…..

Egg Rolls

I have never had an egg roll this good, Beef Chicken, Cherry or Apple they are great and worth driving to get them.

Teh best Greek Food In town bar none

If you love Gyros and Baklava you can’t do better than Gyros and Shiskabob on Highway 6 North close to Clay Road in Houston. My wife an I found this place in 1987 and have eaten there at least once a month for the past 20 years. The owner “Aboss” Is the Head Cook and usually the order taker. My wife an I have decided that even if we go to another Greek Restaurant, like Yia Yia Mary’s’ that we will eat other things because no one else compares on Gyros, Spinach Pie, and Baklava! The food is always, Fresh, Hot, and flavorful. Did I mention how good the Greek Salad is? What this café lacks in ambience, (throw away plates) is made up for in the taste of the food. It is worth the drive!!!

Gyros and Spinach Pie

It does not get anybetter than this. You can pay more, but you can’t get better food. Fresh and Hot every time

The Best Steak In Texas

Friday Night My wife and I were treated to a lovely dinner celebrating her home coming, at the Taste of Texas By Dr. Don Abdo and his bride Donna. It is difficult to describe how great this dinner was. The appetizer of crispy bread wafers with a jalepeno jelly and Cream Cheese was great. But then you have one of teh freshest well stocked salad bars in Houston. The Asiago Cheese rolls are to die for and I will not even mention the Jalepeno Cheese Corn bread. Then came my 10oz filet with garlic butter and lemon pepper, you could cut it with a fork. I topped that off with a fully loaded baked potato. Kristen T was our attentive waitress. When she brought around the dessert tray, with some 10 fabulous items on it, the pressure was almost too much. We chose to have the Creme Broulet with assorted berries to eat there, but we also took home the famous snickers pie. (along with the rest of the steak and potato that I could not eat after the large salad and cheese rolls) It took 2 meals for my wife and I to finish off the snikers pie. (its that large and that rich) I have eaten here more than 20 times over 20 years. It is better than Ruth’s Chris, Morton’s, Sullivan’s and the Brownstone. It is a little noisier than those other places due to the high ceilings. You will wait for up to an hour on Friday and Saturday night, if you come after 5PM, but they have a nice waiting area with free chips, popcorn, Ice Tea and soft drinks. Owned by Famed Talk Show Host Edd Hendee and his Nina, You could spend more money in many other palces, but not as good a meal or better service.

Filet Mignon

Then came my 10oz filet with garlic butter and lemon pepper, you could cut it with a fork. It nearly melts in your mouth. I have never had a better one and I eat a lot of steak.
