Unique vegetarian-oriented restaurant focusing on rice bowls in a variety of curries and asian sauces. You can do meat or tofu in any of them, though the tofu is solid enough to be a meal. The brunch and omlette options are hard to beat, too, though brunch mimosas are always a bonus.

While it looks like an upscale version of Agua Verde in the University District, El Camino suffers from some of the pretention and trend turnover of Fremont. The staff was curt and seemed put off by the fact we took our time conversing between parts of the meal. The food was good, but not exceptional. The menu offered a gourmet twist on the classics, but compared to the variety and interchangablity of Agua Verde, I felt it was confining and Americanized for all its hype. Still, better Tex-Mex than Qdoba and the like. Probably a killer lunch spot. I’ll visit for lunch sometime and offer a second review.

Gourmet tex-mex with a decent authentic Mexican heart. The drinks and food are both good, though sometimes the service can be a bit slow on a quiet night. But they are very friendly and accommodating. The dining room is cozy, bordering on romantic in a post-conquistadorial catholicism sort of way.

Yet another great recommendation by Shezagat, Green Leaf is excellent vietnamese. The lemongrass eggplant was as good as billed, as was the herbs and greens accompanying a classic, delicious vermicelli bowl. I have yet to try the pho, but I’m sure it is excellent.

Seattle's about as far from the Caribbean as...
Seattle’s about as far from the Caribbean as it gets for the contiguous US, but on a warm day and Paseo’s food, you could think you’re much further south. The pork is the must-have, though I can highly recommend the tofu sandwich as a cure-all for hunger, hangovers and seasonal affective disorder.
