Wasabi Bistro

Jun 25, 2007 Link

Best 'trendy' sushi in town

Wasabi Bistro is hands down the best place for ‘trendy’ sushi, which is in a category of it’s own against traditional sushi. For that, I would go to either Ototo on the top of Queen anne hill or even to Shiro’s.

Many people compare this place to Shiro’s but I don’t even know why they’d do that. the atmosphere and menus are completely at odds with each other. Wasabi Bistro has the typical belltown atmosphere — beautiful food and (sometimes) beautiful people :)

They have a good mix of hot food and sushi, but the hot food is unremarkable. Stick to sushi and you’re golden. Their happy hour is a good deal with lots of items at great prices and smaller portions allowing you to try more of their menu.

I would have NEVER thought fruit in sushi would taste good, but this blew my socks off. Try it now!

Wibbley's Gourmet Hamburgers

Mar 24, 2007 Link

Small restaurant, good food.

You’re not coming here for the atmosphere that’s for sure. It’s got great burgers and fast service. The Ram’s Husky burger is far better with better atmosphere to boot (and beer), but if you’re on the east-side and need a good burger fix, you can’t go wrong with Wibbley’s.

Ram Restaurant & Brewery

Fantastic burger!

I’ve always loved The Ram not only for it’s convenient location, but also the atmosphere and the food. Then again, I’ve only eaten burgers here :) Their Husky Burgers are known for how big they are, but in fact, they are also really tasty. Not the best burger in town, but has Red Mill beat without question. Do yourself a favor and try out their Husky or Husky Stadium burger.

Red Mill Burgers

Mar 24, 2007 Link

Completely over-rated

I’ve heard rave reviews by magazines, newspapers and friends that Red Mill had the best burgers in town. Living in Seattle for 5 years, i felt I was committing the absolute sin by not trying it out.

I finally got the opportunity to try it out 2 weeks ago and I was completely disappointed. I had a Verde Burger, and while it was good, it was nothing to rave about. I’ve had better burgers at pubs — heck, even The Ram in U Village has Red Mill beat hands down.

    Not bad, but overrated.
