yummy

i really like this place. Located in East Hollywood, it is a large, bright space w/colorful art. Their food is very filling w/out being oversize portions. i’ve tried several of their pupusas. They are hot, crispy and satisfying. The fried plantains come w/sour cream & refried beans. There is complementary curtido (a type of Salvadorian relish w/pickled cabbage, onions, carrots) & a watery red sauce in a bottle that i was told is Salvadorian ketchup. It’s mild & i like it.

Dishes I tried:

Plantain Empanadas de leche

Milk filled empanadas – gotta try ’em! These are like a dessert; crispy on the outside w/a thick, sweet, milky filling. You get 3 in n order.
