tasty burgers
Came here after a run on Ocean Beach, so I was very hungry. It was a rare sunny day in the Sunset, so we took a seat in the back on the patio. What can I say other than the service was fast and efficient. Plus our waitress earned extra points for giving me change to feed the meter outside.
They claim to have the best burgers in town, plus all-day breakfast. The burgers are on french rolls which is a little weird, but it works.
The food arrived very quickly and was tasty. My burger and heaping plate of fries was most satisfying after a long run. All in all, a fast, great experience for lunch. Didn’t really seem like a dinner place given the almost fast-foodish ambience.
Dishes I tried:
Green Chile Jack Burger
Green Chile (not spicy), Jack cheese, and a burger, on top of a French roll. Oddly, it didn’t come with a tomato slice, but did have two slices of onion and pickles on the side. Definitely very tasty.

Great place for brunch
This is my favorite brunch place in SF, mainly because it’s 2 blocks from my place. Luckily, the food is good and it’s got a fun atmosphere. I seem to always end up here after a night of hard drinking, and it’s big breakfast plates are perfect for the morning after. The outdoor seating is also great on a sunny day. Additionally, it rarely takes more than a few minutes to get a table, which is something that can’t be said for most other brunch spots in the city.
As for dinner, the food is also good, albeit a little overpriced ($9 for a pretty plain burger?!)

Great sandwiches
I go here almost every week for lunch. Great sandwiches, no frills, and the pesto sauce is awesome. There are two tiny picnic tables crammed into the corner, so this is much more of a takeout place than an eat-in place. Sandwiches are top-notch with fresh ingredients and a quick and friendly staff.
I’d give it 5 stars if there were better seating options, but otherwise it’s perfect.

Best tacos on the Peninsula
Looks like an old Taco Bell, but with much better food. This place is no-frills, but delivers fast, quality tacos. Don’t bother ordering anything else (I’ve heard other El Grullense’s specialize in different items).
Dishes I tried:
taco
I’ve tried chicken, pork, and beef. All excellent, and only $1. Haven’t had the balls to try brain or tongue yet.
