Pyramid Alehouse Restaurant & Brewery

Pyramid Ale house

Came with about 20+ of my husbands co-workers before my first Mariners game. They must be doing some construction in the restaurant cuz they sat us in this hot little corner with a particle board wall behind us. It was a bit stuffy, no leg room. But I’m sure it wont be like that for long. The food was great…calamari, chowder, Apricot beer…mmmmm. It was pretty entertaining with so many people;-)

T.G.I. Friday's

Aug 12, 2007 Link

TGI Friday's

Went here for lunch with a friend. An upscaled version of Applebees, they had a decent appetizer selection. We had chicken tortilla triangles and cold salad. My friend had the strawberry salad and there was not a spec left on her plate (could be cuz she’s eating for 2). I had an almond-something salad..it was ok. The server was sickenly sweet…hoping for a good tip, perhaps? ;-)

What I ate:

You can dip these in a yummy sauce

Trophy Cupcakes and Party

Aug 5, 2007 Link

Dense and sweet cupcakes!

I bought one of each and took them home to try them all out. I cut them in half and shared with my husband. The Green tea was pretty good, liked the Chai better, the PB&J I really enjoyed. The Red Velvet was just ok, the cream cheese frosting was way to cream cheesy for me…as a home baker, I thought the cake part was dense and good…but some of the flavors were just ‘not there’. Not the best, not the worst ;-)

What I ate:
  • ***

Banana bread flavored cupcake with cream cheese frosting

  • **

Not a good example of Red Velvet (IMO)

  • ****

Oddly enough, I think I liked this one best. Peanutbutter and jelly buttercream frosting with a tiny injection of PB&J inside the cupcake.

  • ****

    ...tasted like Chai tea.

Wally's White River Drive-In

Wally's Burgers, good comfort food

This is your typical, high school kid run burger joint. The burgers are good, like any burger is. Good fries, onion rings and fish sandwiches. We came here when it snowed and watched all the idiots out on hwy 410…we also came here with the top down on the jeep…kind of a fun place to kick back and watch traffi I guess…lol…

Buzz Inn Steak House

Buzz Inn Steak House

I always hear their adds on the radio so I was excited to try this place out before a day of jeeping the Walker Valley ORV park just outside of Mt. Vernon. I guess I was expecting a little more. When ya walk in, you order your meal at the counter, get your drink and then take a number and sit down. They bring ya your meal…no big deal. I ordered biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and bacon. I dunno about anyone else but I cannot stand ‘crunchy’ eggs…ya know how they get crispy when they’re cooked too hot in grease…yuck. Anyways, not the best food in town.

Seaside, OR

Doogers Seafood & Grill

Doogers in Seaside, OR

We try to come to Seaside at least once a year and when we do, this place is a MUST. We’ve been coming here probably the last 5 years in a row. They have a pretty laid back atmosphere with decent service. There are tons of shops in this downtown, tourist area and we make this our last stop. Great seafood at great prices makes it a nice ending for a day at the beach. There is also another Doogers in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

What I ate:

Calamari you can cut with your fork, pan fried oysters, shrimp, scallops…mmmmmm!!!!!
