Rick's Cafe

Oh my the RIBS
As a traveling salesperson, I eat out about 10 times a week, and often those are in some nice restaurants throughout Ohio, Western PA and WV.
Rick’s Cafe is still my FAVORITE restaurant, and has been for nearly 10 years. The ribs are simply THE BEST I’ve had , and trust me, I’ve had my share of ribs. The big fat deluxe burgers are from prime beef and loaded with flavor. The handmade french fries (with the peels on) are loaded with flavor.
And then there’s the fresh seafood every day… YUMMY.
The restaurant is SMALL and it’s LOUD and you will definitely feel a little cramped at times – they’re always jammed, but you can rub shoulders with a lovely boomer crowd, enjoy live music frequently on Saturday evenings as the music ranges from Blues to Hard Rock, and there’s a TINY little dance floor which always gets lots of use. During summer months there’s also a lovely patio/terrace which includes overhead heaters when it’s a little chilly.
I recommend reservations on weekends, and even then, plan to wait a few minutes. Full service bar, great art deco style, just a lovely but small place that you may soon refer to as “your favorite place” as well.

Everything's GREAT
I’ve never had a bad meal. Everything from burger’s to some great seafood (outstanding swordfish when it’s available) and if you’re allowed to have them, their fried potatoes (round slices) are to DIE FOR. Nearly every meal comes with their homemade sourdough or a wonderful and large muffin, all freshly baked and often still warm.
I’ve eaten in plenty of five star restaurants in my life, but this remains one of my favorite restaurants. And did I mention “very affordable”.
A full service bar is available, decor is comfortable featuring many historical posters and newspaper clippings, and the service is generally outstanding.
I recommend reservations on weekends, although if you’re willing to wait, they can usually seat you.
A small outdoor courtyard is also available, and often features live music.
Enjoy!
