This place definitely has its following.
Apparently, the variety isn’t so great..
But I do like how BIG the maki rolls are, and the reasonable price for the size (with the majority of it not being rice!)

Spider rolls are great here.
Apparently, so are the dynamite rolls.
And the platters, so I’ve heard.

Don’t plan to dine in though.. This place is really take-out only…

Korean, Japanese and sushi. There are both Korean and Japanese who work there, which is cool.

The Korean food is pretty good! Didn’t try the Japanese food.. But had the sushi, which was excellent.. (Had a sushi boat and a sashimi boat). The spider roll (soft shell crab) was a bit pricey ($10) but worth every penny!!

The food here was great! The atmosphere is great too! I love how they all yell out and greet you as you enter and leave the restaurant.

This place has a lot more room than the one on Robson.. And didn’t have an hour-long wait even though we went at 7pm on a Saturday evening – though it started to fill up more as the night went on..

Food selection was different (I think.. I don’t recall exactly, as it was more than half a year ago since I was last in Vancouver and went to the one on Robson).

The only let down was that I was looking forward to trying something like the shochu (sp?) wih Aloe that we had at the last place, but here, most of the shochu was like $70/bottle! I recall it being less than half that price previously..

Ah well, a great dining experience nonetheless..
And it ended up costing us about $23/pp after tip, with beer and cocktails.

We came here last winter (I’m from Toronto).. The food, the atmosphere, and the experience was most excellent! I tried ‘sochu’ for the first time.. seems like a Japanese version of Korean soju.. :) Pretty good stuff! Hoping to go again sometime.. Though we’ll probably try to hit every Guu first… (Tomorrow is Guu on Water St)

I just went back today (took my visiting parents from Vancouver here) after I went earlier this week to the one in Bellevue with coworkers..

This one is much better.. They have a big patio (well, it’s out on the pier).. The service was better, and the food seemed a bit better too.. Fish was still moist and not a bit dry.. The snow and dungeonous crabs were really tasty!

But the service was definitely better than the Bellevue location!

Originally planned (2 weeks ago) to go here for their reputation as a steakhouse, but ended up ordering the seafood platter for two ($125).

WOW.. The food tasted amazing! Alaskan King Crab was sweet and juicy! And they don’t add tons of mussels as filler. We had jumbo shrimp, alaskan king crab, 2lb lobster, and huge scallops! We could only finish half of the whole thing (Friends can see photos under “Meena and I”)

Was disappointed. The hot menu was nothing like it was described from the website.

The sushi wasn’t bad, but wasn’t spectacular either.

I wouldn’t go back, despite the fact that they have restaurants across North America.

The menu is HUGE! I had a hard time deciding what to pick because there were sooo many choices! Everyone is guaranteed to be able to pick something interesting from the menu!

The portions are hearty.. the mashed potatoes were amazing..

And most importantly, the cheesecakes we tried (White Chocolate, toffee, macadamia nuts and key lime) were simply devine…

The only downer (and suprise) was the 40 min wait on a Wednesday night at like 8:30pm! crazy line up!
