Hodad’s menu also boasts a veggie burger that ranks among the best I’ve ever had.
The staff may playfully ridicule you for ordering something meatless but that’s part of the Hodad charm.
If you have to wait for a table you can keep busy by reading the hundreds (?) of vanity license plates on the walls.

Salad-issimo
Salad Style is a tiny hole in the wall place in San Diego’s hip East Village. They have about 10 salads on the menu, all made with organic and crispy fresh ingredients, plus they offer daily specials. All salads can be ordered as wraps. They also cater events.
The salads are awesome, big and healthy.
I am not sure but I think they are mainly open for lunch.
