Notes
This is my go to place for a meatball or Italian sub. It's East Coast all the way - service with a Boston accent makes me feel like I am back home. Dave is a fanatic when it comes to ingredients and making his customers happy. If you are ever near Eagle Rock you have to go in for a bite. I'm there once a week minimum.
Dishes
Pulled Pork Special

Notes
Another great Eagle Rock lunch spot. Little known secret: they do a 5 course prix fixe farmers market dinner once a month. If you want to come to the next one with me shoot me a note!
Dishes
Red Velvet Cupcakes - They did them before they became a fad!

Notes
Everything about this palce is over-hyped including the pizza but when I crave cheese ravioli this is the place I go. I wish they were open Sunday. If you have a party of 6 or more MAKE A RESERVATION. If not, plan on waiting for an hour unless you get there at 5 or 5.30 on busy nights. I only order take out now.
Dishes
Shrimp pasta (w/ pink sauce)

Notes
This place is the best kept secret in LA. The guy that runs the joint was the sous chef at Valentinos for over a dozen years. He came out of retirement because his of his higher calling to cook bad ass italian food. Don't expect anythign fancy - Aroma is a low key 12 table joint in a strip mall next to a dry cleaners. As soon as the food comes to the table you will think you are in Italy.
