Ok, I acknowledge that the food is totally marginal. But the affordable, perfectly frothed, celadon-hued pitcher of frozen margaritas make it all worthwhile. Plus, I always get the Arroz Con Pollo, eat half, and turn the leftovers into a fabulous meal of my own the next day. LaFonda is just a good, reliable standby.
Dishes
The chorizo-bocadillo is pretty damn good. I only allow myself that about 4 times a year.

French staff, traditional bistro food, unpretentious atmosphere and romantic patio. Dreamy.

No style, all substance. Love it. That Guajillo salsa is addictive. Places like this make me love living on the E side of town.
