AJ Bombers

We found the peanut bomb amusing and the food delicious. The black bean burger was scrumptious and the regular burger was very juicy and tasty. Could not stop eating the sweet potato chips. We’ll return to try some of the other menu items. The service was friendly and attentive.

AJ Bombers is just what it looks like; a bar with a typical bar food menu. It was great to sit outdoors and enjoy the Milwaukee summer with friends. The peanuts in the shell added to the meal. Not sure if I will ever go to AJ’s again but it was worth an initial first look.

Burgers are there specialty so that’s what I had. It was nice out so were able to sit outside. It was a little noisy on the road, but still fun. You build your own burger and add sides.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant because of how good I have heard the burgers were. Got there early on a Saturday night, 5ish and the place was already very busy. We put our names on the list for a table but luckily ended up finding seats at the bar because the wait ended up being much longer than we were told by the people we saw already waiting when we got there. One unique thing about this place are the peanuts and how they deliver them to he tables via “bombers”. Very cool idea. Service was ok as the bartenders were pretty busy but the food was good. I had the award winning burger on the menu. It was good but the great. I have had better. Not sure if I would go back again.

Maybe I have a tendency to hype things up in my head, making the memory of it better than it really was. Don’t get me wrong… everything was still very good (including our fantastic server Sophia), but just not anything to rave about. One of my dining companions agreed… he can’t see how this place beat out Sobelmann’s in the Food Wars face off.
