Outstanding, Colorful, Eclectic Atmosphere

Armando’s Gallery House is AMAZING! Of all the restaurant has to offer, Armando is the Star. Armando is a special guy in every way. He’s a Chef, an Artist, an abstract interior designer, and a super, genuine, nice guy. He cares about his customers. He loves people and wants to make everyone feel right at home and fix them an incredible meal from his kitchen. And Armando will cater to individual tastes of any kind. Move over Burger King – Armando’s goes way beyond that. I would love to tell you Armando’s story, but it’s best if you hear it from him. He’s an open book and loves to share his story with everyone. Armando Mejorado was Redding’s 2016 Business Person of the Year. His restaurant, well you just have to see this mystical wonderland to believe it. Redding needs this piece of cultural inspiration. Personally, I felt young there. It brought back many pleasant memories for me. His Gallery House is in the old, red brick bank on the downtown Promenade. The bank is arguably the oldest brick building in Redding. Beautiful building. It’s my favorite historic structure in the area. Armando’s creative entrance to his Gallery House, on the south side of the bank, is a showpiece. It’s beautifully decorated with a corridor entryway. Armando himself greeted us at the front door before we were able to open it ourselves. He likes to greet all his customers if possible. When we walked in, it looked as if we were walking into an artist’s gallery or a museum. Each week his Gallery House changes. He has theme weeks, music weeks, artistic painting nights with wine in the historic bank vault in the back. Oh, wait … it is a restaurant, as well. His nonconformist style is breathtaking. Everything is uniquely different and colorful. Even the silverware doesn’t conform. Your knife is different from your fork, and of those in your party. Chairs are distinctively unsimilar. There’s so much to talk about, it can’t all be said here. Dinner at Armando’s is an EXPERIENCE. You just have to sit in his artistic, eclectic restaurant museum, sip his wine and enjoy the meal. Each course has a wine to match. He thinks of everything. You’ll be surprised at Armando’s detail in all you see and taste. In the basement is a beer & wine den. (The Gentlemen’s Den). Very cool. You can feel totally at ease in this warm, relaxing atmosphere. So comfortable. Back upstairs, dine on his cuisine which changes weekly. Always something new at Armando’s. His mind works creatively overtime trying to make every dinner experience aesthetically better for your next visit. Food is delicious. Artwork and décor is visually delicious. And Armando’s personality will feed your heart. This is a stunning, diverse 5 star restaurant. Just seeing Armando’s Aloha Smile greet you when you enter and Bid You Adieu as you leave, is worth the visit. You MUST meet Armando and enjoy his sensational Gallery House. There’s nothing like it around.
