Big Manas Southern Kitchen

I had a party of 14 persons from my fraternity who met at Big Mamas SK, this past Sunday, 9/27. What a positive experience. First they nicely accommodated us with no complaints, allowing us to sit as a group. . Members purchased the fried Chicken, catfish, and rib dinners plus other items. The sides, particularly the Mac & Cheese and yams were great. Hot and firm. We were offered samples of the delicious fried green tomatoes, something I have not experienced in years. . The food was good overall! The side dishes were prepared and were in a tray, but they were warm and fresh tasting. We liked that option of sing ou dishes smorgasbord style with glass in between to maximize the cleanliness and separation from customer contact. . The fish and the ribs I ate were delicious.

The staff continued to be nice and accommodating through out our stay handing various requests. Even the owner came out and reflected the warm, pleasant environment I often experienced in the South in my younger years. The staff was patient, even when it took our group some time to make up their minds. Reflecting the overall pleasant and spiritual environment, other costumers greeted us as we came in making us feel as part of the "family"experience. To be able to recount prior southern dining experiences there on a nice day will help us all recall the experience with a smile/ In conversation with other colleagues, several of us have already made a date to return, both for the food and pleasant family like environment. Kudos to the owner and staff and I trust this place stays open for years. You have a lot of happy customers here.
