Just what the neighborhood needed
I had dinner over the weekend with some friends and this 5 week old restaurant was stellar on all levels. Chef Jeff Cruise has designed a classic French bistro menu in both taste and price. I had a perfect Steak Frittes and there were also very good looking Duck breasts, Grilled Alaskan Salmon and Seafood Risotto on the table as well.
Les Moules(mussels) come in either half or full pound orders, with you choice of three sauces. There are also Charcuterie and cheese plates available.
The space is open and welcoming and there was no attitude that usually accompanies French cusine. The owner was there helping bus tables and taking time to talk to her guests.
According to the staff they have bottomless Mimosas and Bellinis for Sunday brunch and are gearing up to do wine flights at the bar. I will be going back.
Dishes Tried:
Steak Frittes
Grilled 8oz Flatiron steak with frites and mixed greens. The accompaning Bernaise sauce was excellent. It is also available with green pepercorn sauce or a red wine shallot reduction. It came with a steak knife but I did’nt need it.
WHO
Nice French food
We went with another couple. Everyone was pleased We’ll all be back. The mussels were as good as in Paris. I’m anxious to try more of my French favorites. The prices were reasonable and the service great. The only slight let down was the escargot.
Dishes Tried:
Les Moules
A repeat dish for me!! The wine broth was delicious and the mussels meaty
