People watch and chat outdoors
Borrone’s is a trendy coffee shop that anyone who grew up on the peninsula has probably been to at least once. There’s tons of outdoor seating and a good number of tables inside as well. It’s located on El Camino right between Kepler’s bookstore and the BBC pub.
They have a decent menu for a cafe…all of the standard coffees, teas, & italian sodas plus various food specials that seem to change everytime I’m there. I’ve tried a few of the sandwiches and they were pretty good. They also have some yummy looking desserts.
This is a nice place to go to catch up with friends for a few hours. Students also come here to study, though I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a quiet study environment. This is probably the busiest cafe in Menlo Park and a fun place to people watch. Another plus is that the staff they hire are usually fairly attractive. =)
