Stuffy but Consistent
Café Boulud is the Boulud gem tucked away on a beautiful street on the Upper East Side inside The Surrey hotel. While the room and clientele can feel a bit stuffy sometimes, the food is reliably good (and very Boulud). While you might not be coming here for the most exciting gourmet fare, the food is upscale, consistently well-prepared, and beautifully presented. And the ladies who lunch there seem to be enjoying it perfectly.
