Our waitress was phenomenal!!
We arrived on the train from Milwaukee, checked into our hotel and found ourselves with an hour to spare before our broadway show started. We grabbed a cab and watched for the best looking Italian restaurant along the way. I yelled ‘stop!’ at Carmines. We were lucky enough to be seated right away. We asked on our way in if they thought they could serve us and have us out the door in 45 minutes, the hostess advised allowing our waitress make recommendations and helping us with that.
Our waitress was awesome. She took our menus and quizzed us – spicy or no? pasta or no? red sauce or white? meat sauce or vegi? and so on until she decided upon the perfect dish for us along with salad. We decided to trust her judgment. Our food arrived shortly there after and it was hot and absolutely delicious!
We even had time for dessert – the largest and BEST piece of home-made tirimisu we have ever had.
