Catfish City

Ok, Catfish City has been a staple in Little Rock for years, I have been there many times to eat and usually always enjoyed the food. A few years ago the restaurant burned and a brand spanking new one was built on the same exact spot. We were all anxious to go back and enjoy one of our favorite spots. That is until we saw the prices! Ok..the lunch specials are, well, not so special. #1.- 2- 3 peices of catfish that are so small you have to get a magnifying glass to see them, the sides are good but when I spend my hard earned mney I would love to get what I pay for, even though there isa signe posted that says all catfish are weighed ?? Really?
They recently started serving BBQ, and it must have gold in it somewhere because the price has jumped from $6.99 for a plate to ove $10.00. Sure it is good, but when I go to “lunch” the last thing I want to do is spend over $30.00 for lunch for 2. And for 2 sandwiche plates and 2 drinks!
They opened a second restuarnt across town that only stayed open a few months before failing. I guess the price increases are to match the monies they lost when that 2nd business failed.
My recommendation: If you don’t mind spending half your paycheck for lunch/dinner this is the place to go, and EVEN if the food is good, which IT IS, there is NO REASON for such high prices for such small quanities (catfish).
