Cha For Tea Palace

Just got back and was appalled at the price. Two coworkers and I normally go to dim sum at least once a month and we pay about $20 per person for about $60. This place was about $30 per person for about $90. That’s $30 more plus tip!!!!! 4 of our items were $7.95 and the top price at other places is $5.95.

PROS: the carts came freqently and had a good number of choices. Most of the items were ok and the staff were very nice. Restraunt is new, clean, and many tables.

CONS: the empty serving dishes did not get picked up quickly, and the servings were much smaller than at other places.

FOOD: Deep fried squid tasted good but had a lot of veggies rather than squid, curried squid was ok but small serving, shrimp on something white and tasteless was not pleasant, pork dumplings were great, chicken and beef kabobs were excellent, shrimp dumplings were small, shrimp rice rolls were doughy and skimpy on shrimp.

Food is ok, but the price was expensive.
My friends do not like it so we won’t go back in the near future…
