Chaya

The customer service is poor. The ladies are not professional. One is very smile and friendly, but DG o nothing to serve properly. The other lady in the kitchen is not polite and rude.

A beef soup

I did not like to much beef, but the chicken soup was plain, they refuse to use chicken in the soup I want it.

This little restaurant looks very authentic,...

This little restaurant looks very authentic, which attracted me. I ordered the Tan Tan Ramen noodles. Taste good, but the portion is too small for the price. I also prefer more soup with the noodles.

Banff is known for its Japanese tourists, but...

Banff is known for its Japanese tourists, but did you know they have awesome Japanese food too? Try the Tan-Tan Ramen or Curry Katsu at Chaya, a family run Japanese restaurant right beside McDonald’s on the main street in Banff. Delicious, fast, and satisfying. They use a mortar and pestle to make the curry paste, and the authentic soup is good to the last drop!
