Cody's BBQ
Probably the worst BBQ joint in creation. The food actually starts out with an after-taste—and not a pleasant one.
The baby-back ribs on my plate lacked one main ingredient: MEAT. The rub they use for the ribs is apparently pepper, pepper and more pepper. Not actually well-balanced if you’re looking for an authentic BBQ flavor profile. The pulled pork was actually unrecognizable. There was nothing “pulled” or “pork” about them. Just a liquid mass of something which is more akin to sweet and sour sauce than anything you’d find in the Carolinas or Kansas City.
The sides were HORRIBLE. The mac and cheese was runny and the beans were overcooked. The cooks in back would do better to serve Velveeta mac-n-cheese and a can of Bush’s beans.
The service: NON-EXISTENT. There were only two other occupied tables when I was there, and I saw the waitress a total of 3 times. No smile, no “how’s everything,” no re-filling of the water glasses — nothing.
To top everything off: I was charged a fortune.
Diners beware! Stay away from Cody’s!
