Dragon Cafe

I was looking for a cool Thai place to eat at on Anaheim Blvd, I almost didn’t go there but I decided what the heck, I’ll be adventurous. I am SO glad I did.

The people their were hilarious, and very friendly. The prices were like $6-7 per entrée, which is great because I am always looking for affordable places to eat in my neighborhood. I ordered seafood Pho, and vegetarian style glass noodles.

I am very picky about Pho, and there are very few good Pho places in Long Beach. When I got the order I immediately noticed they didn’t bring out the Sriracha sauce like other places. They had a homemade chili sauce that was sweet and spicy…much better than the packaged, over processed stuff like Sriracha!

The noodles were soft, and spongy. Rubbery noodles are a big pet peeve of mine. The noodles were KILLER. Another thing I noticed was they used REAL crab legs and not imitation crab like so many places. The calamari was soft and tender, not rubbery.

The fish in the pho was tender, white, and flaky. The broth was excellent. I was so happy with the pho. I then started to eat the glass noodles, which were off the hook. very soft, and full of flavor.

I’m excited about going back and returning. I usually don’t rate places, but this place is that good. They are new owners so I really want to watch these guys grow and succeed.
