Erik's Deli Cafe

We stopped into Erik’s this afternoon. I ordered a Raging Bull sandwich but after 25 minutes I still hadn’t been served! One of the staff came out asking various people about their orders and we inquired about ours; we were told that she would have to go check and would be back. After 10 more minutes we had heard nothing so I went to the back rather pointedly showing our table. number. I was told theb sandwich would be ready “soon.” The staff then went around asking certain people to change their bread orders. Then a gentleman, possibly the mangager, came in carrying bread. It became apparanent that most of the people in the establishment were ahead of us and still hadn’t been served. After we had waited 45 minutes for a sandwich, I decided to leave. My wife went to ask for a refund and was told that our sandwich .
would be next. She was cheerfully given a refund and an apology. The staff was always polite and apologetic.
I do not think that it is ethical to take people’s money for food that isn’t even on the premises. There are far too many good eating establishments for a place like this to take up time and space. Also, this deli does not apparently have canned cola and their fountain cola was completely flat.
