Tiny Diner Feeding Big Appetites!
Don’t overlook this little place tucked in a plaza between a pizza parlor and the Athol police station. Open Monday – Friday until 2 and Saturday until noon, this is a great place for breakfast for lunch.
I recently had a “lumberjack” breakfast of 2 eggs, french toast, home fries and bacon for $7.25. Everything was done perfectly-crispy bacon, the right amount of vanilla in the french toast, eggs over easy as ordered. Coffee was an extra $1.75.
My companion had the same breakfast with ham – two thick slices of a ham steak! Yummy!
My daughter’s omelette was filled to overstuffed, and again was served with potatoes and toast – all for less than $8.00.
Home fries are offered with or without onions (nice touch). The service was a bit slow, but I think that was because the waitresses are young and inexperienced.
The restaurant is really small with only about 10 stools at a counter and five booths holding four people each. CASH ONLY.
