Gol! The Taste of Brazil

We got two Gol’s cards with on: $29.95 per person, we believed that were gift cards and we decide to go, me my husband and 2 kids. I called before and they told me that if I’ll do a reservation they will take me 20 %off, I did it. Before we went there we look at the web site and was really interesting, buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto di Parma 40 hot and cold items in the salad bar any kind of meat and desserts. we went there, almost 10 minutes for the server for come at the table, we order to drink and we went to the buffet: it was not to much, maybe 20 items, where prosciutto wasn’t prosciutto di Parma, no chicken no buffalo mozzarella, the mashed potatoes was out, the mussels stink, etc. they start with the meat at the table, most of the beef was tasteless, we asked for the lamb because we didn’t have any, they said that they will cook for as, they come after 15 minutes with 4 separate pieces of lamb in a plate, nobody eat, it was stink. We asked for the dessert and they give to us the menu, but in the web site is in the buffet???? we decided to pay and leave, we asked for the check and she came with a full check, no 20 % off 2 cokes and one sprite, the kids didn’t have free refill and they were paying 19.99 for each. We told them about the 20%off missing and she apologized, she came back with $16.00 off on a check of 146.00 then we give the credit card and the “gift cards” she came back and returned the gift cards and she told us to keep it for the next time. we looked at the check and was $126.00. At the end the gift cards are really tricky!!!!! And we didn’t get 10$ off but 8 , they charged for the refill of the kids drink, the buffet is not what they have on the sample buffet online, the dessert are not included, most of the food is frozen and not of good quality as you pay. For the kid $19.99 is a still and in the buffet there is nothing for them, you are paying as an upscale restaurant but it is not, with slow service death fly on the tablecloth, We will never go back!

They claim to have valet parking. When we arrived in front there was no valet and no parking available in front. I double parked and we asked the woman at the outside desk where thier valet service was. She told us around the corner, a block & a half away. No big deal for most, but a big deal for someone with emphysema and arhritis. We went and left the car with the valet and walked to Gol. The same person we just talked to now informs us that they are overbooked ( we arrived at 8PM for an 8 PM confirmed reservation) and turned us away. What a bunch of inconsiderate jerks

Celebrated my husbands birthday last night at Gol. Food was execellent, fresh and well prepared. Carpicio, was just the right temperature and thinness made the meat delictable. Wait staff was always there with clean plates, Gauchos spanned the tables with their fares, freshly prepared skewed meats, shrimp and fish were well cooked with meat for the person who likes their meat rare as well as well done. The grilled pineapple topped off a wonderful meal and evening.

A group of went during the week for dinner, and our overall experience was for a lack of a better word miserable. The service was slow, the meats cuts were cheap, the atmosphere was morbid and the price was well way over priced. Find another steakhouse, this one is not worth the time.
