Decent eats, great hours
Unlike many other downtown Palo Alto eateries, a meal at Gyros Gyros can be affordable. It’s not cheap, but at least you can walk out of there for about $10.
The gyros are big and filling, and great when you’re on the go or in a rush (nicely wrapped so that you can eat in the car). But what I really crave here is the appetizer combo. They have a great array of “salads” including hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, dolmas, cacik, and more! They can sometimes be stingy with the pita, but almost always give you more when you ask!
The best part about Gyros Gyros is that they stay open pretty late for a restaurant. There have been many times when my fiance and I are doing something and don’t get around to dinner until 10 at night. The only thing open (besides bars) is Gyros Gyros.
