The greatest fried chicken ever! The chicken is not over...
The greatest fried chicken ever! The chicken is not over floured so you’re sure to get a chicken in every bite. Not dripping with grease and very crispy skin. I not a biscuit person, but I love their biscuits and it come with a little honey on the side. De-lush!!!!

Eh..
Honey’s Kettle Fried Chicken wishes it were Stroud’s. HKFC is tasty but tasty on the greasy side.
The crust is translucent because of the chicken chubbies and frying oil, which can be either a good or bad thing depending on which day you go. However, I believe that fried chicken should be lovingly pan-fried by hand in a heavy iron skillet, not rudely yanked from the commercial frier. Thus, I may be biased in this review.
The lemonade at HKFC tasted like it came from a Minute Maid bottle and not from an actual lemon, so it was just OK. The fries needed to be cooked in lard, not vegetable oil. The pickles, biscuits, and chicken sauce were fantastic. I also wish that HKFC had vegetable sides that weren’t mixed in with mayo and refrigerated.
That being said, I still think that HKFC offers the best fried chicken you can find in Southern California.

Finger-licking good chicken!
This Honey’s Kettle fried chicken beats KFC any day! Their chicken is oozing with flavors, and when dipped in their hot and sweet sauce (reminiscent of Thai sauce), you want to go on eating. The coating was just right, not too oily but light and crispy.
Their soft, buttery biscuits must be smeared with lots of honey to be appreciated properly. They even sell the biscuit mix, so you can take it home and bake them fresh yourself.
We also tried the fish sticks, and find them to be bland but they are cooked well, though.
The chicken and biscuits are a little more costly than your average fast-food fried chicken, but it is worth it.
Free parking is available on the streets and nearby public lots. There is even a movie theater complex across the street, so take the family there after the meal! A great and affordable family outing.
