fresh and tasty burgers
This restaurant is located a short walk from the Berri metro. Our group had to wait 10-15 minutes for our table, but luckily we were able to wait inside and not outside like many customers that came after us.
The burgers are built quite tall with the condiments as listed in the menu, a kaiser bun, and a wedge of pineapple on the side. They do tend to leak out the other end so don’t wear your best clothes! Fries must be ordered separately.

pinto bean burger
Yes there are vegetarian burgers on the menu. and even a non-veggie like me will enjoy them. This one comes with herbed sour cream, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, salsa, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The whole thing made for a fresh and flavorful (and quite filling) meal.

Delicious burgers!! They have a great veggie burger from what I’ve heard, but my favourite is the blue cheese one! Fries are ordered separately, and the milkshakes are good! Though the last time I had a poutine there, I was not very impressed.
It’s a small little place with a character of its own, right off one of the busiest Montreal streets in downtown. The wait to get in can get quite long if you’re heading there at peak hours, so plan ahead!

Classic burger
Whether deservedly or not, La Paryse is generally considered the top hamburger joint in the city. This bright and cozy little restaurant just off St-Denis on Ontario Street has been serving up hamburgers since 1990. You may have to wait in line at peak periods and you may be squeezed into a little table in a corner of one of the joined rooms that make up the restaurant, but you will be served a picture perfect hamburger along with an order of perfect golden fries. La Paryse offers the usual classic variations on the hamburger as well as a couple of different toppings such as raw mushrooms and cream cheese.
