- Cons
- Shrimp creole was essentially a can of tomato soup with a few shrimp floating in it and a pile of rice. Baked potato tasted like it had been baked and reheated - it was hard and was greasy because it was topped with a 1/2 cup of butter. We had to ask for

Food OK, Sevice was the slowest I seen
My parents were visiting from out of town today so we took drive from Houston to freeport and then followed the coastline into Galveston. My dad wanted seafood so we stopped at Landrys. When we arrived at 1:30 in the afternoon on Saturday the 30th of January 2010 we walked into a very nice dining room. There were about 5 tables of the 50 that had customers. We were quickly shown to a seat. The man that would be our waiter brought the menus. We ordered some drinks and these came out in about 5 minutes. Then we waited about 15 minutes before he came back. Finally he came back and took our orders. Now we waited about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately the Rain Forest Reastuarant was next door. The Sub-Woofers were cranked up so loud that I could not hear the nice soft-rock/Jazz mix playing in our upscale dining room. The Boomba Bass was just annoying as hell. Any way our food finally arrived. The Shrimp were small and reminded me of Long John Silvers except at the 18.95 price they were not any better. They loaded up the plates with onion strings and french fries. I asked the waiter for some ketchup for the fires. 10 minutes later when he walked by on the way to another table I asked him again. The onion strings were OK but McDonald’s has better fries. Then we ran out of tartar sauce and shrimp sauce. after discussing it for about 5 minutes, I went on a tour and found and waitress at another table, and asked her for some. I got the “can’t you see I’m busy” look, but a few minutes later she found our missing waiter and he brought some. By now our drinks had all run out. No waiter in site. We were going to order some desert but by now we had been here almost 2 hours and had to get back on the road to Houston. The stuffed crab was the high light of this meal. The total bill with the tip for 4 was $100.00 Waaay too expensive for the quality of the food and the very poor service. I ate there 1 year ago and it was pretty much the same. Not recommended.
