Manzella's Italian Patio

I wanted to let everyone know that lives in my area, I had my 2nd bad experience at what is supposed to be a nice Restaurant.

On Mother’s Day, there were 10 in our party at Manzella’s Italian Patio in Champaign. The food was ok, but the service was the WORST I have had in a long time.

It took forever to get waited on, never got drink refills, once the “waitress” (not sure she deserves that title), brought our food, we NEVER saw her again, and I am not kidding, never!!

I complained twice, but no one cared and I had to ask twice for the check. For as much as it costs, it should be a hell of a lot better than that.

And maybe I could write this off as a one time thing, but my husband and I ate there last fall and had bad service then too! Stupid me for going back, it won’t happen again.

Please pass on to everyone you know in our area! People need to know.

And by the way, their excuse when I complained was that they were busy.

Seems to me you need more staff then if you can’t handle being busy!!! It was Graduation and Mother’s Day, get a grip people!!!!

I really don’t see how this place manages to get anything close to a good review. The pastas come RIGHT out of a box (the kind you can get for a $1.00 from Walmart) and the red sauces are from generic cans with maybe a slight bit of oregano and basil added. NONE of their pastas are made from scratch and are MICROWAVED before being served since they are precooked Anyone who has any experience with food knows when a dish is microwaved. It comes out steaming and loses it’s temperature in a few minutes, which is EXACTLY what happens. With the kind of prices that are on the menu, this place deserves zero stars. They must be joking asking the kind of prices for the items on their menu. Even the “Olive Garden” has more quality and better tasting food with much less ridiculous prices. Don’t even get me started on the decor…if you want to dine in a place that smells like a greasy dirty old grungy restaurant then go right ahead. Terrible service, food, price & decor make this place completely and utterly disastrous.

manzellas has always been a good place for my family to eat. It may not be the most fancy place to eat, but thats what i like. It is more of a family place, also a good place for dates. The food is amazing. The service is also good. On busy days like mothers day and graduation weekend are packed. They try their best to get the food out as quick as possible. I would recommend anyone to try manzellas italian patio. Deff one of my favorite places of all times. SOOO GOOD. now talking about it im actually craving some pizza :) YUM go try it everyone!!!! I mean it you wont regret it!!
