Native Cafe

Tucked away in the quaint strip mall across from the only gas station on Pensacola Beach is a hidden gem named Native Cafe. The first thing that strikes you as you walk in the door is the great beach atmosphere accented by local art covering the walls (all of which is for sale!) The wait staff was friendly but the best part had to be the food. I ordered their signature dish the Fish Tacos and when the food was delivered to the table it looked and smelled fabulous. I’ve had all kinds of fish tacos before but these put them all to shame. The fresh sauteed Mahi Mahi was perfectly prepared and their homemade sauces combine with the fish and fresh veggies for a symphony of flavors. I could only finish 2 of the 3 tacos that came in the order but not for a lack of trying… next time I think I will split it with a friend and save room for some of their awesome looking walnut-crusted key lime pie! YUM!
