Best grilled tuna, onion rings, house salad, house dressing(homemade btw) Best gumbo.
Dishes Tried:
grilled tuna
Doesn’t smell like fish. Grilled to perfection and juicy. I order the vegetables with house salad. Sometimes order sweet potato fries that are also the best anywhere.

Nice taste of New Orleans on the northshore.
I worked (for a very short period) at New Orleans Food & Spirits and I just wanted to add that NOTHING is made with Velveta. Everything is made from scratch (I used to make the corn and crawfish bisque myself and there are no processed cheese products to be found) and everything I had a chance to try was absolutely delicious. The eggplant Pontchartrain is wonderful. The fried seafood is crispy, fresh and delicious. Sorry to sound defensive (again I only worked there for a very short time so I don’t have any real loyalty to this business) but I just wanted to add an alternative opinion since the only comment on here was completely negative. The free house salad is made with iceberg. Caesar is made with fresh romaine. I’m sure that you could replace romaine on any salad upon request.

If you love velveta, you will love this place. The base for the crawfish/corn bisque tasted like velveta. The filling for the crabcake tasted like it had velveta in it. The Ponchartrain sauce for the pasta was, you guessed it, Velveta! My crabcake was cold in the middle. My salad was iceberg lettuce. The whole experience was gross!
Dishes Tried:
Crawfish Corn soup
Gross, gross, gross. Served cold. A base of awful fake cheese. No flavor whatsoever. The crabcake was cold in the middle and the pasta taked like fake cheese also. Really, really bad!
Crabcake
Crabcake was cold in the middle. The exterior was fried really hard and the interior had the fake cheese. It tasted like it was made a week ago and fried tonight from the freezer. AWFUL!
