Fantastic overall. Here was my lineup
duck liver terrine served with brioche, dijon mustard, gherkins and brandied prunes….smooth but not too smooth, the liver was amazing, the right amount of fat and perfectly seasoned. my only complaint was that there were unequal portions of the accompaniments and brioche
braised breast of veal with mustard syrup served with spinach over papardelle….packed a punch and left me speechless, piquant, papardelle was cooked perfectly, and the breast of veal was falling apart and extremely flavorful. the mustard highlighted each mouthful and was undercut by the sweetness of the veal…overall, a homerun
finally, brioche pain perdue with glace a la vanille served with candied fennel…the brioche was a little dry but balanced well with the ice cream, the candied fennel wasn’t overpowering and helped to make it more than a starch, cream, and sugar dessert

$50 certificate for totally ruined dinner
These guys made me laugh! Honestly, I’ve never seen such a behavior from top-class restaurants (at least how owners Kerri and Marc position their place). Me and my wife had a dinner at Pigalle and one of the dishes, Cassoulet, was cooked so badly that my wife wasn’t able to finish it. Meat there was partially well-done, partially rare. And we were never asked how we like it! No questions why we left it barely touched! That might be totally fine for some restaurants with customers having low expectations, but not for Pigalle! OK, fine, we paid for dinner, left the place and I wrote a brief review online regarding our dinner. The funniest thing happened afterwards. Owners send me an e-mail apologizing and offered to send us $50 CERTIFICATE! Can you imagine that??? That amount doesn’t cover the cost of the dinner for one person without alcohol! Essentially it looks like: OK, you spend a lot for totally ruined dinner, but come to see us again and you’ll spend a bit less. In details (particularly for Kerri and Marc!), me and my wife are rather busy people and don’t have plenty of time to spend together. Therefore, if we choose a place for romantic dinner then it must be a top-class restaurants. And we don’t mind to spend a lot for good experience, but we don’t want any surprises like what happened at Pigalle. I just don’t want to spend our time on persuading my wife not to pay and leave the place immediately after such a junk was served, and nobody came and aksed how was our meal. And I’m not talking about my and my wife’s mood after such a dinner. That’s why I called this dinner absolutely ruined! But offering your $50 certificate is even worse! I tried to explain that to Kerri via e-mail and his subordinate via phone (Kerri even didn’t want to talk:-) ), but they insisted of $50 apology. Just to explain the business in this class of restaurants, similar thing once happened to me (without my wife) at another upscale restaurant (I don’t want to write its name here since after that we support very good relations with that place’ owners). After I complained them, they didn’t just apologizes via e-mail, but owners also called me to apologize in person, they organized managers’ meeting to avoid such a mistakes in the future, and they offered me a certificate for free dinner with wine pairings, for two persons! I understand that everybody can make a mistake, but the question is what to do after that. That, Kerri and Marc, is the right way to behave, but asking your subordinate to call me and insist on taking $50 is basically the way to ask people to have a dinner somewhere else.

Never judge a book by its cover...
This restaurant is quite tasty. I had passed it many times and was not impressed by the exterior — the sign is unassuming. The inside, however, was much nicer by comparison. This does certainly seem to be a suit and tie kind of place, but not oppressively so.
The food is probably best described as Mediterranean. The menu comprises things like Beef Carpaccio, Roast Duck, and things of a similar nature. Everything I had (and some that I sampled from other plates) tasted very fresh and well seasoned.
It’s probably a little pricey for students unless a special occasion, but if you can afford it, it’s worth it.

We had dinner here over Restaurant Week, which may be why the food did not live up to my expectations. The menu was certainly well thought out and sounded great, but the execution was just so-so and the flavors felt a bit flat. My friend apparently had the best fries he’d every tasted, so perhaps the kitchen was simply overwhelmed with RW customers. The dining room was very elegant – definitely a great place to take a special date.
