Poor Service

After 3 attempts at this place because friends/coworkers want to try it, I had to leave a review. Atmosphere is great but the service is horrible and stuck up for people working at a restaurant to pay their bills. I felt the hostesses were lacking the most professionalism. When it came to food, much, if not all, is hands on. It’s an odd concept for a restaurant that acts so high class. My 5 year old nephew could make their pizza. 1.5 ‘deviled’ eggs…or in my opinion hard boiled eggs sliced in half are 8 dollars. I’m just surprised they called that deviled eggs. The cook that day also didn’t really know the difference between medium and medium rare. The burger thing is always a problem at places where you haven’t tried a burger before but of course, ended running into that problem here. Then it’s weird to sit at the bar after with friends and to have Lifetime playing. We joked that the bartender should just go home and let us make our drinks because we needed to wind down after work and for paying so much for bad food. Food presentation was great but that was a ruse to get you to eat it. It really was food that didn’t meet any of our expectations. Of course the bartender is running around like a nervous wreck but that bar was far from busy. Honestly, Jacky’s Galaxy, closeby has the service and food worth paying for. It’s Asian cuisine and amazing. If you want the type of American food served at Public Kitchen, you’re better off going to Joe’s American Bar and Grill right at Providence Place Mall. Joe’s has better hours, food, service and never a bad experience.
