Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant

I eat here all the time. Everytime, it’s amazing. They have the best burgers around, great Memphis style BBQ that’s cooked out back, homemade cobbler, sweet potato fries, and the list goes on. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. The staff is AMAZING, everyone is friendly and helpful and attentive. Aside from the great food, it is obvious that personality is what drives this business. They are truly family run, which is hard to find these days. The breakfast is also great, good southern homestyle with biscuits and pancakes and omelets. I’ve been to several of their dinner shows and they are always a lot of fun. They get some great local songwriters that have written several hits. It’s awesome to be able to see the people that are really behind the songs. I will keep going back as long as it’s there, and will always recommend it to anyone.

My entire family LOVES this place!!!! The food is real. The environment is fun and relaxing….not to mention kid friendly. They even bring little ‘dog waters’ out for folks who like to sit outside with their pets!!!!! The bbq is amazing, and so is everything else I’ve ever tried there. Ever hear of Bubba’s Eggs Benedict?!?!!! Seriously! Delish!!!!

My two favorite things about Puckett’s are the live music every night except Sunday and Monday and there blackberry cobbler! Don’t get me wrong, all the food is delicious – the pulled pork, squash casserole, burger, breakfast omelet… all yum. I am a sucker for their blackberry cobbler, though. I also love going in at night to hear the music – they have a great variety of styles. Sometimes they have a bluegrass band, other times there has been jazz, and they even have singer song writer contests. Go check it out b/c it’s a blast!

If you like smoked meat and great music, dinner at Puckett’s was a great way to spend my summer evening in Franklin. The pulled pork, ribs, and wings are all smoked over cherry wood and are insanely juicy and flavorful. If you love scratch-made desserts like I do, go try the buttermilk chess pie or the red velvet cake. You’ll want another piece-I promise. On Thursday night, when I went, the band playing was great, and anytime I can have dinner with live music is a good time. Great atmosphere and the super-attentive staff made the experience great!
