SCARRING EXPERIENCE!!
- THIS IS FOR THE MANAGER, LESLIE AT QUATTRO RESTAURANT*****
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU ARE BRINGING A PET, READ BEFORE COMING HERE.
I have been to this restaurant many times with my dog, a small beagle. When making the reservation, I always ask if I could bring my beagle and have always been told yes. I have been here over 20 times and today, when I called to make a reservation, the manager, Leslie, told me that their policy allows only service animals in the outdoor/patio dining area. I asked why this was the case as I have been here many times before, brought my pet and have seen countless others dogs with their owners dining outside. She said, “this is our restaurant and we can make the rules as we see fit.”
I said, “So, if I came to your restaurant, valeted my car, and wanted to dine outside with my dog, as I have done so many times in the past, you would kick me out?”
Leslie Manager, “Yes. I would advise you to leave and tell you that only service animals are allowed.”
Me: “Shouldn’t you communicate this to your staff instead of having different answers as to yes or no to bringing an animal? All of them who answered the phone say yes, bring your dog! You say no. So, why should I be kicked out and punished for a lack of training, NOT having a uniformed answer per call regarding bringing your pet to dine outdoors? Also, every restaurant in the Bay Area, that have a closed door, outside eating/patio area are all pet friendly. What makes it that your restaurant is not when there are enclosed doors separating the restaurant from the outside dining area?”
Leslie Manager: “It is not my concern what other restaurants do. This is our own establishment and we are free to make and enforce our own rules.”
Me: “Thank you for your time. I will make sure to list this experience on Yelp.”
Leslie Manager: [Hangs up on me]
- I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF QUATTRO AND HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO DINE THERE. HOWEVER, AFTER THIS SCARRING EXPERIENCE WITH THIS MANAGER WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, SHE WAS EXTREMELY DISMISSIVE AND RUDE (THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED).
- I ALWAYS RECOMMEND FRIENDS/FAMILY WHO VISIT THE BAY AREA TO STAY HERE. HOWEVER, THIS WILL NO LONGER BE THE CASE AS QUATTRO, AND FOUR SEASONS OF PALO ALTO HAVE LOST MY BUSINESS PERMANENTLY. I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I MEET AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT AND THEIR HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. GUARANTEED.
JUST BECAUSE THIS RESTAURANT IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FOUR SEASONS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY WILL TREAT AND TALK TO YOU LIKE A HUMAN BEING.
